This notice explains your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), to control whether your personal information is sold or shared when you shop at rouvib.com. It works alongside our Privacy Policy. Rouvib is run by Jonnpa LLC.
Your Rights Under CCPA
- The CCPA and similar laws in other states give residents rights over the personal information businesses collect.
- If you live in California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, get equal service whether or not you do, and know what we collect and share.
- We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals automatically. If your browser sends one, we treat it as an opt-out, and you don’t need to do anything else.
What Does “Selling Information” Mean?
- Under the CCPA, “selling” means handing personal information to a third party for money or other value. “Sharing” under the CPRA covers disclosure for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We don’t sell your personal information in the ordinary sense. But the advertising and analytics tools we use from platforms like Google and Meta may involve data exchanges that count as “sharing” under the CPRA. You can tell us to stop that anytime.
Opt-Out Request for Personal Information Sharing
- Email is our channel for manual opt-out requests.
- Send an email to contact@rouvib.com with the subject “Do Not Sell My Information.”
- Include your full name, the email you use at rouvib.com, your US state of residence, and a clear statement that you’re opting out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
- List every email you’ve used on the store so we can cover all your records.
- You don’t need to email for GPC to work. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we apply the opt-out automatically.
Verification Process and Response Time
- We take reasonable steps to check a request is genuine. Verification is light: we usually confirm receipt within 2 business days and may ask for details if we can’t match the request to our records.
- Once verified, we complete opt-out requests within 15 business days, and handle other requests within 45 days, with one possible 45-day extension we’ll tell you about first.
- Requests under a non-CCPA state law are handled within that law’s timeframe.
- Even after we honor your opt-out, we may still use your information for essential things that aren’t sale or sharing, like fulfilling an order you placed, support, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. The full list is in our Privacy Policy.
Right to Non-Discrimination
- Using your privacy rights changes nothing about your service. You won’t be denied products, charged more, given lower-quality products or support, or treated worse for opting out. Same pricing, promotions, return rights, and support either way.
Important Notes
- An opt-out applies going forward. It doesn’t delete information we already hold, so for that, please send a separate deletion request.
- GPC works per browser. If you clear cookies or switch browser or device, you may need to set it again.
